Why are Clinical Tests on Eye Wrinkle Creams Important?

It’s difficult to sort through all of the clutter when trying to find the best eye creams out there. A lot of them claim to be the “best.” The easiest solution I can offer is to do in-depth research and find clinical testing on a particular product in order to select the right eye cream for your situation.

A lot of eye creams out there are designed to treat different things. Some treat dark circles, others work to reduce eye wrinkles. It’s important to evaluate what symptoms you are looking to treat and then find an eye cream or serum that works to reduce those very symptoms.

Once you figure out which symptoms you want to treat, it’s time to select the perfect eye cream for you. It’s important to try and find eye creams that have been clinically tested according to the symptoms you are looking to treat. The professionals that clinically test eye skin care products are extraordinarily qualified and give resulting information that are relevant to the performance of the products.

It’s important to note that clinical testing is not cheap and is done in accordance with the many guidelines set up by the FDA. Because of this, it is more impressive when an eye cream or serum goes through the clinical testing than one that does not. It’s much easier to compare eye creams that have been through clinical testing because you can compare the statistical data.

The bottom line is that products that have had clinical testing are easier to evaluate than those that did not conduct testing. If a product goes through that much work to have numerous tests done, it shows they back up their product and the results it claims to produce. It’s good food for thought!

Go Green with Organic and Natural Eye Skin Care Products

March 15, 2009 by Joanna

In the last few years, the use of natural or organic ingredients has become increasingly popular in many industries.  In medicine, organic remedies are fast gaining in popularity.  Some are being used as preferred remedies for various illnesses. Organic ingredients are used widely in the field of dermatology to treat various skin conditions.  Every year, cosmetic companies introduce dozens of organic products and eye skin care is no exception.  Organic ingredients are now being used in more and more eye wrinkle creams designed to minimize or erase eye wrinkles.

Most Common Organic Eye Skin Care Ingredients: Fruits and Vegetables

Fruits and vegetables are the most commonly used organic ingredients.  This is due to their wide availability and because they contain vital ingredients that benefit the skin.  Some of the most common fruits used in organic skin care products are plum, papaya, apple, pineapple, and mango.

The organic ingredients added to eye skin care products provide different benefits.  In order to make the right choice of organic skin care product, you first have to determine how you want your skin to change.  Health and beauty manufacturers now include organic ingredients to their skin care products, but these ingredients can also be used right out of your kitchen.  Make sure to always use the freshest ingredients you can find.

Other Organic Skin Care Ingredients: Milk, Oatmeal and Wheat Germ

Fruits and vegetables aren’t the only organic items that can be used on the skin.  Milk is one of them.  Milk appears to be effective in retaining youthful-looking skin, making it a popular ingredient in many eye skin care products.

Oatmeal is another common kitchen staple used in skin care.  Milk and honey added to oatmeal in its ground form is an excellent masque for the skin.  The benefit is a reduction in the appearance of oiliness as well as a youthful glow.

In a growing number of organic skin care products, wheat germ is often listed as an ingredient.  This is one of the finest natural ingredients for moisturizing and exfoliating the skin.  Wheat germ contains high levels of vitamin E which is essential in maintaining a healthy condition of the skin as well as the hair.

Natural Skin Care Ingredients For All Skin Types

Other excellent moisturizers and exfoliants are yogurt and sour cream.  You can find products containing these ingredients or simply use them in their natural state.  For dry skin, try a paste with egg yolk, olive oil and lemon juice.  Honey, along with wheat germ, is one of the best ways to get a smooth, healthy complexion.

Some organic substances can be used as toners in skin care, such as lavender water and rose water.  Rose water tones the delicate tissue around the eye and using an eye skin care product containing rose water can positively affect any under eye bags.  Organic skin care treatments are many times comprised of a combination of two or more different natural ingredients.

Organic skin care regimes are definitely getting to be very popular.  Many are switching from conventional (and sometimes synthetic) products to these natural treatments.  Without a doubt, natural and organic eye wrinkle creams and other eye skin care products will be more prevalent in the years to come.

Must-Do Beauty Regimen: Masks!

March 7, 2009 by Beauty Editor

I recently read an article in Shape Magazine talking about the importance of applying masks three times a week as part of you anti aging and eye skin care regimen. That’s right – 3 times a week!

The latest masks are potent, thick and packed with anti aging ingredients for relief of eye puffiness and dark circles.

“Even though they’re only on your skin for 10-20 minutes, it’s because they’re so thick and heavy that they’re able to penetrate and drive their heavy duty, age-busting ingredients deep within your skin – and quickly”, says Jeanette Graf, M.D., a dermatologist in New York.

Among some of the new, hard-core masks Shape.com recommends are:

 1.    Aveda Enbrightenment Brightening Intensive Massage Mask (fades dark spots with vitamin c and mulberry root extract)

 2. ReVive Masque de Glaise (promotes cell recovery and turnover for relief of those eye bags)

Another mask that I absolutely love (also happens to be by one of my favorite skin care brands) is Juice Beauty’s Green Apple Hydration Mask. (It feels cool and refreshing, also utilizing natural ingredients!)Juice Beauty Green Apple Hydration Mask

Masks are great because not only are they fun to put on (by yourself our with some girlfriends), refreshing and revitalizing, but they are great for spot-treating your problem areas.

Best Eye Skin Care Products Don’t Include Chemicals

February 22, 2009 by Beauty Editor
Filed under 100% Pure, Eye Skin Care

Did you know that many of us put over 200 chemicals on our skin every day? And 60 percent are absorbed into our blood stream! Now that’s scary. Research tells us that some of these chemicals are affecting our health and may be the reason behind some chronic skin conditions and even some cancers. You need to think twice before you buy another cream to get rid of under eye puffiness.

All the more reason to buy natural and organic eye skin care products, wouldn’t you agree?

Natural and organic eye skin care products are gentle on the inside, while working on the outside to rejuvenate skin and make it naturally beautiful – just the way it was intended. After all, our skin under the eyes is our most delicate. So we need to be careful what we put on it.

Need a recommendation for a GREAT organic eye cream? Try 100% Pure’s Coffe Bean Eye Cream: (it’s only $19!)

100% Pure Coffee Bean Eye Cream
This eye cream smells wonderful and works even better – it was all the rage when we first tried it on! Everybody got to experience it!

There are a lot of good health and beauty products that are non-toxic and safe. You just have to search for them. In my opinion, they truly are what make up the best eye creams out there. The therapeutic qualities that lie within mother nature have been used in the ancient traditions and customs and begun with our ancestors.

Please make sure you carefully select the products for your eye skin care…don’t be one of those people who are subjecting their skin to hundreds of chemicals each day. When in doubt, look for the USDA label.

Idebenone: An Extra Benefit for Eye Creams

November 15, 2008 by admin
Filed under Eye Skin Care, Eye Wrinkles, Prevage

Idebenone, the more it is researched, is found to have great benefits in eye skin care cream. It has been found that idebenone is a derivative of CoQ10, which helps cellular energy production and to reduce free radicals. Because of this it is considered an antioxidant.

And we all know how antioxidants can greatly benefit our skin. Especially around the delicate area of our eye.

Idebenone carries beneficial attributes to the skin, like CoQ10 although not enough studies have been done to tell us which is better.

If you are suffering from eye wrinkles, an idebenone cream can really work wonders on this delicate eye area. In fact, an article I read on WebMD names idebenone as an antioxidant recommendation for keeping radiant summer skin.

I always feel better about ingredient usage and effectiveness when a doctor can confirm its benefits for my skin!

WebMD recommends trying the idebenone cream, Prevage, to gain full antioxidant results on your face during the summer months, when your skin is exposed to the sun and its damaging elements.
