Want to grab the latest anti-aging treatment for your puffy eyes and eye wrinkles? Philosophy just put out their new jar of anti-aging formula called Eye Hope.
Specifically designed to target the eye area, Eye Hope can tackle eye wrinkles, reduce puffiness and diminish dark circles.
Most of the Philosophy eye products I’ve tried are fabulous. They’re a bit expensive, but worth it.
In just six weeks, 4 out of 5 people saw significant improvement in fine lines, dark circles, puffiness and smoothness. It provides moisturization to the sensitive skin around the eyes, anti-inflammatory benefits that calm and soothe skin, and light diffusing properties to help brighten skin tone.
Gently apply a small amount with fingertip under and around the eye area after cleansing in the a.m. and p.m. Allow product to absorb fully for 2 minutes prior to applying appropriate treatment and moisturizer.
The reviews on Sephora for Eye Hope are so great that they really caught our eye and we just had to tell you about this new eye treament!

Clarisonic Skin Care: Is it for You?

As we indicate in our Seven Secrets for better eye skin care, cleansing is often overlooked as an important first step. We simply don’t do it often enough, thoroughly enough, or aren’t using the proper cleanser, etc.
Clarisonic skin care is a product device that acknowledges this and wants to help you get on track with more efficient cleansing with their “hard to misuse” tool.
What makeup you don’t get off with your regular cleanser, the clarisonic skin care device does by using “a patented sonic frequency of more than 300 movements per second to clean, soften and smooth skin. In 60 seconds a day, the clarisonic skin care micro-massage action device cleans more than twice as effectively as manual cleansing.”
Clarisonic skin care claims to offer a “safe, gentle and natural way to cleanse your skin without any harsh abrasion or chemicals.” However, we have found it to be a little harsh on people with sensitive skin and who are easily reddened.
With the few people we’ve talked to that have tried it, they’ve noticed increased skin softness and less dry, flaky skin as well as fewer breakouts. But we honestly feel that exfoliation without this device would be just as effective. We haven’t been told there’s any significant reduction of fine lines and wrinkles as a result of this product like it also claims.
So is the Clarisonic skin care device for you? If you do not have sensitive skin and have issues with getting all of your makeup off after a long night or are simply lackadaisical about washing your face, then this product would be great for you…we recommend using it once a week to start, seeing how your skin reacts, then upping it to once a day.
From our research and experience with eye skin care, sometimes too much exfoliation can be too much of a good thing and cause your skin more harm than good. So start out slowly with this one.

Hylexin: Serious Cream for Dark Circles

Hylexin can help you finally defeat dark circles.
If you suffer from serious dark circles under eyes it’s most likely due to heredity and bad genes. You most likely are fed up with them and have tried almost everything – including all the best concealers. Right?
My question for you is this: Have you tried Hylexin yet?
If not, I would definitely consider it. Priced at just under$100, it’s a little expensive but goes a long way. It is priced so high because it just plain works.
Hylexin is one of the ‘breakthrough’ creams that has an extraordinary formula for dark circles. It is scientifically proven to defeat dark circles, due to its ingredient, Hylexin A.
**In scientific studies, Hylexin A has been shown to help reduce hemoglobin degradation byproducts by optimizing enzymatic activity… causing the red-blue pigmentation to fade. Studies also confirm that Hylexin A actually helps strengthen the capillary matrix to help stop the “leaking”… so your orbital eye area is protected against further damage.”

Cellex C Advanced Eye Toning Gel
Do you notice the skin beneath your eyes starting to sag? Cellex C, one of the best brands for eye wrinkles, has an eye firming cream – Cellex C Advanced C Eye Toning Gel - that is great for correcting the appearance of sagging eye skin. If you haven’t tried any Cellex C products before, then this is the one to try.
This Cellex C cream is oil free (which is wonderful if you are prone to breakouts).
The advanced concentration contains 10% vitamin C and antioxidant resveratrol. Vitamin C is one of the most effective and scientifically proven anti aging ingredients. So, any anti eye wrinkle product that contains a high concentration of this powerful antioxidant has a good chance of successfully reducing eye wrinkles.
As an antioxidant, vitamin C also protects against the free radicals that cause eye wrinkles and other signs of aging. This Cellex C eye gel also contains resveratrol, which protects collagen and is found in grapes and red wine. (Resveratrol is the subject of on-going scientific studies as an anti aging breakthrough due to its sirtuin-activating properties).
If you use it regularly, you’ll see benefits of diminished crow’s feet, fine lines and wrinkles, improving overall skin color, texture and tone.

Garnier Eye Protection is the Latest Skin Care Buzz
I recently read in Real Simple Magazine an ad for a new Garnier eye cream called Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Anti-Sun-Damage Daily Eye Cream with SPF 15. I was surprised to see on the review “the first eye product recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation!” There was a disclaimer stating that it’s the first eye product that is sold in food, drug and mass merchandise retailers to be recommended by the Skin Cancer Foundation, but I have to say, it’s still pretty extraordinary.
I’m always surprised at how many eye wrinkle creams do not contain an SPF. Sun damage is the leading cause of premature eye wrinkles. Since the eye area is the thinnest area on the face and often the first to show signs of aging, it’s a great idea to wear sunscreen around your eyes to keep the eye wrinkles away and to prevent them. This Garnier eye cream contains lycopene and sunscreen to protect against sun damage that leads to wrinkles, magnesium to hydrate the skin, and powerful antioxidant vitamin C to stimulate skin cell regeneration and collagen production.
For the best all-over sun protection, I recommend using this Garnier eye cream with
Garnier Nutritioniste Skin Renew Daily Regenerating Moisture Lotion SPF 15. With many of the same ingredients as the Garnier eye cream, this facial lotion is a great addition to your anti aging collection. Apply Garnier eye cream first, and then follow with this moisturizing lotion during the day to protect your entire face from sun damage which is the number 1 cause of eye wrinkles.
I think this Garnier eye cream and facial lotion are beneficial for young skin too, like people in their late 20s and 30s. The creams are lightweight, and they don’t contain some of the power eye cream ingredients that I think are necessary for more mature skin, such as retinols. For young skin, it’s more important to hydrate and protect to lesson the likelihood of future damage, rather than using heavy creams designed to reduce eye wrinkles on mature or aging skin.

Product Review: SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic
April 24, 2009 by admin

After being cooped up all winter, many people forget the habit of wearing sunscreen and get burned the first time they are out in the springtime sun. This not only leads to painful burns, but it also leads to eye wrinkles. Sun damage is one of the leading causes of premature aging, and the delicate eye area is often the first to show the signs meaning sooner than later, you’re going to need eye creams.
For best results in preventing sun damage and subsequent eye wrinkles, you can strengthen the skin’s natural sun protection with products containing ferulic acid combined with vitamins C and E. When applied under sunscreen, this combination greatly increases your protection against sun damage.
One of the best products containing ferulic acid, vitamins C and E is SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic.

SkinCeuticals C E Ferulic $135
When these antioxidants are combined with ferulic acid, their powers as sun-protective agents are doubled and their ability to neutralize wrinkle-causing free radicals is increased. A great preventative product due to its advanced antioxidant protection, C E Ferulic also corrects skin damage by stimulating the production of collagen.
Apply to clean, dry skin, followed by a moisturizing sunscreen and an eye wrinkle cream containing sunscreen (I highly recommend Dermalogica Total Eye Care SPF 15), and you’ll have the best sun protection next to staying indoors!
Borba Atomizer Linen, Face & Body Mist
The Borba Atomizer Linen, Face & Body Reviving Mist contains grape seed and mangosteen extracts that reduce the appearance of eye puffiness aging related issues and other signs of aging like eye wrinkles and dark circles and fight free radicals that diminish the skin’s elasticity. It also includes vitamin E to moisturize, and cucumber extract to soothe and calm skin.
It’s formulated to be a multi-purpose skin enhancement spray, so it can be sprayed directly onto the face and body, or you can spray it on your pillows and linens before you go to bed!
I have a friend who’s 80-year-old grandma loves this product, and I swear she doesn’t look a day over 60! I hope I look as good as her at that age, so I will use any anti eye wrinkle product she uses! My friend also tried it, and she reported that it was “so refreshing and smells amazing, that’s why she loves to spray it on her bed pillow before she goes to sleep.”
