Eye Wrinkle Cream Trends for 2009

April 20, 2009 by admin

Here are some great eye wrinkle cream trends to watch for:

Trend 1: Cosmeceuticals. Cosmeceuticals are rapidly becoming the products people are paying attention to.  Cosmeceuticals are a blend between cosmetics and pharmaceuticals in effort to medicinally relieve certain problem areas like under eye bags and eye wrinkles. Cosmeceuticals are on the rise due to scientific advancements in ingredients and breakthrough technologies. The new Clinique Medical line is a great example of this new approach to anti aging skin care introduced by Clinique, the maker of cosmetics and Allergan, a leader in medical aesthetics. Some cosmeceuticals like Clinique Medical are available only at a doctor’s office, while others like Perricone MD are readily available online.

Trend 2: Peptides and caffeine products are suddenly appearing. Studies are still inconclusive as to the long term benefits, but caffeine is shown to reduce bags under eyes and increase circulation while peptides are claimed to have anti-inflammatory properties to aid in adult acne and other skin conditions. Anti aging peptides will continue to be at the forefront of age reducing product lines in drugstores. One study at the World Congress of Dermatology in Paris found that a 50% reduction in eye wrinkles is possible when the skin is treated with a high concentration of peptides!

Trend 3: Topical antiseptics and anti-inflammatories. The following you will see in skin care: tea tree leaf, lavender oils, and algae extracts as they provide healing. Anti-inflammatories are on the up-rise as inflammation is what leads to so many degenerative diseases and skin conditions.

Trend 4: Skin care from the inside. With so much attention on the proven benefits of antioxidants as well as supplements are continually being developed to cater to people’s desire to eat healthier to improve their skin. Cosmetic companies are now including antioxidants, nutraceuticals, botanicals, and green tea. These are believed to penetrate the skin quickly to nourish and protect the skin. Dermalogica is one such skin care line that offers potent antioxidants in support of this trend. Some potent antioxidants that you will be hearing a lot about are: goji berry, turmeric root extract, resveratrol from grapes, and acai.

Trend 5: Probiotics. Skin care lines are using probiotics in their formulas. Probiotics refer to foods that contain the “good” bacteria that are similar to those normally found in your body – like yogurt. The companies who are adding probiotics to their products believe that it softens and exfoliates the skin. The problem is that most available research supports skin benefits when probiotics are taken internally as opposed to topically.

Be on the lookout for brands of skin care that support these trends as they are companies that are more likely to produce products that will give you optimal results.

Lifecell has been around for a while and if you have looked for eye wrinkle cream online, you will have at least come across a few of their reviews.  So have you taken it into consideration? Has it been on your list of creams to look into?

Well if so, let me tell you what I love about it. Lifecell can combat all your anti aging problems – bags under eyes, dark circles under eyes, and eye wrinkles.

Lifecell claims to have set the new standard in quality ingredients in skin care by being on the forefront of technology. Dithiolane-3-Pentanoic Acid (D3PA) is a universal antioxidant and is used in high amounts in lifecell cream.  Also, IDEBENONE which is one of the most potent antioxidants is used.

Combining these 2 antioxidants will give you a lot of power in fighting free radical damage! All scientists agree that the best way to fight free radical damage is with antioxidants.

The best part of all this? You can try lifecell for FREE for 30 days to see the results for yourself. Totally risk free.

If I’m going to spend money on an expensive eye wrinkle cream I want to make sure it’s going to work first!

Have you tried lifecell? Let me know what you think of it.

Puffy Eyes Awaken!

Whatever it is that keeps you up all night long, know that there is a fix for your puffy eyes.

In a local news article this morning, a top makeup expert for Macy’s explains the many ways she would recommend tackling the annoying puffy eyes look:

1. Clarins Concentré Zone Regard for eyes ($78) at Macy’s – treats the whole eye area to get rid of puffy eyes, dark circles and crow’s feet.

2.Trick: place eye creams in fridge for a cooling effect that will aid in relieving bags under eyes

3.Tip: take out contacts before bed

Make eyes look refreshed and wide:

1.Revlon’s cushion grip lash curler ($5.49) at Walgreens. If you have no time for makeup, simply curl your lashes. Your eyelashes will appear long and open your eyes.

2.L’Oreal’s white eyeshadow ($4.49) at Walgreens. Apply the eyeshadow in the corner of your eye on the upper and lower lid. This is my personal favorite puffy eyes tip! It works!

3.Dip cotton balls in ice cold milk and put them on your eyes for 10 to 15 minutes.

4.Clinique’s touch base for eyes ($14.50) at Macy’s. This product can be applied as a natural-looking eyeshadow. It will give the appearance of bigger eyes.

Try these for your next puffy eyes fix and if you want to check out more solutions and best eye creams be sure to check out our online store.
