Avoid Eye Wrinkles by Learning How to Correctly Apply Eyeliner
March 30, 2010 by admin
The whole point of using makeup is to accentuate your features and make you more beautiful. If you don’t know the correct way to apply your makeup, you could be doing just the opposite. We are going to help you learn the appropriate way to apply eyeliner in order to avoid eye wrinkles and give yourself a natural, healthy look!
It’s very common to apply eyeliner to your top lid by pulling on the outer area of your eye. Interesting enough, this method of applying eyeliner can actually contribute to under eye wrinkles. Not only this, putting eyeliner on this way will leave you with jagged and uneven lines when you release your eye skin to the normal position.
The best way to put on eyeliner is to gently pull up on the center part of your eyelid. This does two things. First, it gives you a good view of your eye. Second, it will help you draw a straighter, more even line across your lid.
If you are just starting out with eyeliner, be sure to use a lighter shade for a more natural look. Also, avoid using liquid eyeliner for your lower eyelids. Be sure to not create thick lines! These will make your eyes appear tired and highlight your flaws.
Overall, remember to protect the skin around your eyes. Completely remove all eye makeup before going to sleep and use an eye cream. Unfortunately, no amount of eyeliner or makeup can completely conceal dark circles, eye puffiness and fine lines. So moisturize, moisturize, moisturize!!!

Olay Definity is another great Olay eye product! I just love this stuff. I keep writing about it because not only do I love it, most of the people I talk to end up trying their new Olay eye products and find themselves being a lover of the new Olay anti aging phenomenon.
Olay Definity eye cream is great for eye wrinkles and dark circles, yet still helps baggy eyes. And as with all Olay eye products, Olay definity is dermatologist and opthamologist tested, promising no irritation around the eyes.
What Olay Definity Does:
Olay Definity penetrates the skin’s surface layers, hydrating and firming skin’s outer layers. It leaves the skin around the eyes brightened and illuminated.

Product Review: Avon Anew Ultimate

Avon Anew Ultimate
Sirtuin is the latest buzz word in the beauty business, and Avon is using the sirtuin technology in its Anew Ultimate line to repair age-damaged skin cells.
Avon has developed a product line called Anew Ultimate that uses “pro-sirtuin TX technology”, which claims to “repair advanced signs of aging and restore youth and vitality to the skin.” This line is specifically formulated for those that have deep eye wrinkles, sagging skin, age spots, and other advanced signs of aging skin. It consists of five products: Anew Ultimate Contouring Eye System, Age Repair Day Cream, Age Repair Night Cream, Age Repair Elixir and Elixir Premium.
While the sirtuin technology isn’t explained, Avon’s website states that a consumer-perception study reported skin feeling more “elastic, with natural volume and bounce” in “just three days”. Avon also reports that ”dark age spots begin to fade” and “the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles diminishes” in “just four weeks”, according to a dermatologist-supervised clinical study.
I researched reviews of the Age Repair Night Cream, and it seems like the majority of the reviews were relatively positive. Many reported that over time, the night cream helped to reduce the appearance of wrinkles and improve skin tone and texture. The biggest complaint was the smell, which was described as a “nauseating odor” and “overwhelming.” I also read a few reviews from customers with sensitive skin who complained of a slight burning sensation.
Puffy Eyes Awaken!

Whatever it is that keeps you up all night long, know that there is a fix for your puffy eyes.
In a local news article this morning, a top makeup expert for Macy’s explains the many ways she would recommend tackling the annoying puffy eyes look:
1. Clarins Concentré Zone Regard for eyes ($78) at Macy’s – treats the whole eye area to get rid of puffy eyes, dark circles and crow’s feet.
2.Trick: place eye creams in fridge for a cooling effect that will aid in relieving bags under eyes
3.Tip: take out contacts before bed
Make eyes look refreshed and wide:
1.Revlon’s cushion grip lash curler ($5.49) at Walgreens. If you have no time for makeup, simply curl your lashes. Your eyelashes will appear long and open your eyes.
2.L’Oreal’s white eyeshadow ($4.49) at Walgreens. Apply the eyeshadow in the corner of your eye on the upper and lower lid. This is my personal favorite puffy eyes tip! It works!
3.Dip cotton balls in ice cold milk and put them on your eyes for 10 to 15 minutes.
4.Clinique’s touch base for eyes ($14.50) at Macy’s. This product can be applied as a natural-looking eyeshadow. It will give the appearance of bigger eyes.
Try these for your next puffy eyes fix and if you want to check out more solutions and best eye creams be sure to check out our online store.
