3 Ingredients to Look for in Eye Wrinkle Creams

Trying to find the right eye wrinkle cream can be a tough task. Trying to find the perfect eye cream with the right ingredients is an entirely different matter. How can you know the right ingredients to search for? Here are 3 proven ingredients that work to firm your skin, improve the appearance of wrinkles, eliminate puffy eyes and keep your skin hydrated, healthy and youthful!
1. Cynergy TK: To be short, this ingredient helps replace keratin in your skin. Keratin, in turn, works to replace the collagen and elastin that is lost in your skin. You may be asking, “What is keratin in the first place?” Keratin is a protein that is very tough and strong. It’s found in places like your hair, nails and on the surface of your skin. Keratin ensures our skin is able to regenerate itself. Studies have shown that within 3 weeks, wrinkles are improved, fine lines are reduced and facial sagging improves. This is one ingredient you want to have in your eye cream!
2. Phytessence Wakame: This natural ingredient is actually derived from kelp, a type of seaweed or sea algae, found in and around Japan. Although this kelp is normally consumed, it has been found that this is an excellent ingredient in facial and eye wrinkle cream. It has a large assortment of nutrients such as calcium, minerals and vitamins. Phytessence Wakame also contains high amounts of iron and potassium. When all of these nutrients and ingredients collaborate, the result is moisturized and hydrated skin that keeps you looking healthy and young!
3. Eyeliss: This ingredient highly targets under eye bags. Puffiness is caused by a fluid build-up that is a result of poor drainage, loss of elasticity in your skin and damaged capillaries. Eyeliss directly works to eliminate all of those mentioned symptoms that cause puffy eyes! It works to reduce how much fluid your capillaries absorb, eliminate excess fluids that cause eye puffiness, firm up the skin around your eyes and minimize inflammation. This is a powerful ingredient that is a must-have!

I hope I look as good as her at that age, so I will use any anti eye wrinkle product she uses! My friend also tried it, and she reported that it was “so refreshing and smells amazing, that’s why she loves to spray it on her bed pillow before she goes to sleep.”

Why You Want to Pay Attention to Vitamin K Eye Cream

Vitmain A just may well be the forgotten vitamin. You certainly don’t hear about it much other than it is used as a coagulant in hospitals.
I have been looking at the benefits of vitamin k eye cream and what exactly is in vitamin k that works so well on eye wrinkles, puffy eyes and dark circles.
Recent research has shown vitamin k to be a powerful antioxidant, stronger than vitamin E or coenzyme Q10. So having a vitamin k eye cream at your disposal is likely to be beneficial.
Vitmain k is not stored in the body like other vitamins. So you need to replenish it on a daily basis. This could most likely be why our skin reacts so well to it.
Here are 2 great vitamin k eye cream products to consider:
1. Naturopathica vitamin k eye cream is formulated for tired, puffy skin around the eyes. It is designed to reduce the look of dark circles, while firming and soothing the skin and reducing inflammation.

2. B. Kamins Therapeutic Eye Cream is a vitamin k eye cream cosmeceutical treatment especially for dark circles and bruising. I usually say that if an eye cream is made for something as serious as bruising after surgery, it is most likely going to help with dark circles. It also helps strengthen fragile capillaries (and these cappallaries are what usually cause puffy eyes). This vitamin k eye cream is also a great moisturizer for those who have very dry skin.

Eye Wrinkle Cream Trends for 2009

Here are some great eye wrinkle cream trends to watch for:
Trend 1: Cosmeceuticals. Cosmeceuticals are rapidly becoming the products people are paying attention to. Cosmeceuticals are a blend between cosmetics and pharmaceuticals in effort to medicinally relieve certain problem areas like under eye bags and eye wrinkles. Cosmeceuticals are on the rise due to scientific advancements in ingredients and breakthrough technologies. The new Clinique Medical line is a great example of this new approach to anti aging skin care introduced by Clinique, the maker of cosmetics and Allergan, a leader in medical aesthetics. Some cosmeceuticals like Clinique Medical are available only at a doctor’s office, while others like Perricone MD are readily available online.
Trend 2: Peptides and caffeine products are suddenly appearing. Studies are still inconclusive as to the long term benefits, but caffeine is shown to reduce bags under eyes and increase circulation while peptides are claimed to have anti-inflammatory properties to aid in adult acne and other skin conditions. Anti aging peptides will continue to be at the forefront of age reducing product lines in drugstores. One study at the World Congress of Dermatology in Paris found that a 50% reduction in eye wrinkles is possible when the skin is treated with a high concentration of peptides!
Trend 3: Topical antiseptics and anti-inflammatories. The following you will see in skin care: tea tree leaf, lavender oils, and algae extracts as they provide healing. Anti-inflammatories are on the up-rise as inflammation is what leads to so many degenerative diseases and skin conditions.
Trend 4: Skin care from the inside. With so much attention on the proven benefits of antioxidants as well as supplements are continually being developed to cater to people’s desire to eat healthier to improve their skin. Cosmetic companies are now including antioxidants, nutraceuticals, botanicals, and green tea. These are believed to penetrate the skin quickly to nourish and protect the skin. Dermalogica is one such skin care line that offers potent antioxidants in support of this trend. Some potent antioxidants that you will be hearing a lot about are: goji berry, turmeric root extract, resveratrol from grapes, and acai.
Trend 5: Probiotics. Skin care lines are using probiotics in their formulas. Probiotics refer to foods that contain the “good” bacteria that are similar to those normally found in your body – like yogurt. The companies who are adding probiotics to their products believe that it softens and exfoliates the skin. The problem is that most available research supports skin benefits when probiotics are taken internally as opposed to topically.
Be on the lookout for brands of skin care that support these trends as they are companies that are more likely to produce products that will give you optimal results.

Product Review: L’Occitane Eye Cream

Say “Bonjour” to moisturizing eye cream!
One of my favorite brands of skin care is L’OCCITANE. And not just because I am a lover of the area of Provence in France. C’est magnifique!
L’Occitane has an eye cream called Immortelle that has gotten some great reviews. It is a very moisturizing product formulated with floral water for the eye area. So if you have very dry skin like I do, this is probably a cream worth trying. And you can buy L’Occitane Immortelle Eye Cream for around $35.
This eye balm is fragrance free, dermatologically and ophthalmologically tested, and works to enhance cell renewal. It is enriched with toning wheat peptides, stimulating ivy and ruscus extracts, shea butter and has anti-aging benefits for puffy eyes, dark circles and eye wrinkles.
Although, some reviews I have looked at say that it doesn’t work as well for them on their dark circles. The elements of moisture will more likely help with the beginning marks of crows feet or to prevent eye wrinkles.
Product Review: Shiseido Benefiance NutriPerfect Eye Cream

The Shiseido skin care line just recently released a complete eye skin care treatment called Benefiance NutriPerfect Eye Serum. This eye cream was created to address the hormonal changes in women related to aging. As we age, many different hormones in our bodies change which causes the visible signs of aging. This is often called the hormone theory of aging. Commonly, less oil is secreted and women experience dryer skin.
With dryer skin come eye wrinkles.
Shiseido skin care has a NutriPerfect Eye Serum formulated with Carnosine DP, this serum improves eye wrinkles and the loss of firmness (reduction of collagen production) that the skin so often experiences due to aging. Carnosine, often called a longevity nutrient, is the anti-aging and anti-oxidant dipeptide that provokes cellular rejuvenation.
This shiseido skin care eye serum also contains multi-vitamin BCE which is a nutritive supplement especially improving the skin around the eyes.
