Puffy Eye Procedure: Blepharoplasty

Puffy eye problems are caused by the layer of elastic tissue under the eyes becoming thin as we age and then fat protrudes forward in the form of bags. The main reason puffy eye problems come about with age is due to muscles and ligaments losing their elasticity over time. Most people don’t realize that these under eye bags can also show up in the form of “upper eye bags” or when the upper lid begins to sag, and in some extreme cases, can even obstruct vision.

I hear Blepharoplasty becoming a more popular option lately to get rid of bags under eyes. It is a procedure that can correct both of these puffy eye issues – and more pleasantly than before. The upside to this procedure is that the procedure can be done under a simple local anesthetic, when it is traditionally done with general anesthesia. This allows for more accuracy and faster healing, which a lot of times brings more pleasing results.

The results bring not only a younger, more refreshed look but also the ability to see better as the droopiness (or excess fat) is now gone.

In the last few years, the use of natural or organic ingredients has become increasingly popular in many industries.  In medicine, organic remedies are fast gaining in popularity.  Some are being used as preferred remedies for various illnesses. Organic ingredients are used widely in the field of dermatology to treat various skin conditions.  Every year, cosmetic companies introduce dozens of organic products and eye skin care is no exception.  Organic ingredients are now being used in more and more eye wrinkle creams designed to minimize or erase eye wrinkles.

Most Common Organic Eye Skin Care Ingredients: Fruits and Vegetables

Fruits and vegetables are the most commonly used organic ingredients.  This is due to their wide availability and because they contain vital ingredients that benefit the skin.  Some of the most common fruits used in organic skin care products are plum, papaya, apple, pineapple, and mango.

The organic ingredients added to eye skin care products provide different benefits.  In order to make the right choice of organic skin care product, you first have to determine how you want your skin to change.  Health and beauty manufacturers now include organic ingredients to their skin care products, but these ingredients can also be used right out of your kitchen.  Make sure to always use the freshest ingredients you can find.

Other Organic Skin Care Ingredients: Milk, Oatmeal and Wheat Germ

Fruits and vegetables aren’t the only organic items that can be used on the skin.  Milk is one of them.  Milk appears to be effective in retaining youthful-looking skin, making it a popular ingredient in many eye skin care products.

Oatmeal is another common kitchen staple used in skin care.  Milk and honey added to oatmeal in its ground form is an excellent masque for the skin.  The benefit is a reduction in the appearance of oiliness as well as a youthful glow.

In a growing number of organic skin care products, wheat germ is often listed as an ingredient.  This is one of the finest natural ingredients for moisturizing and exfoliating the skin.  Wheat germ contains high levels of vitamin E which is essential in maintaining a healthy condition of the skin as well as the hair.

Natural Skin Care Ingredients For All Skin Types

Other excellent moisturizers and exfoliants are yogurt and sour cream.  You can find products containing these ingredients or simply use them in their natural state.  For dry skin, try a paste with egg yolk, olive oil and lemon juice.  Honey, along with wheat germ, is one of the best ways to get a smooth, healthy complexion.

Some organic substances can be used as toners in skin care, such as lavender water and rose water.  Rose water tones the delicate tissue around the eye and using an eye skin care product containing rose water can positively affect any under eye bags.  Organic skin care treatments are many times comprised of a combination of two or more different natural ingredients.

Organic skin care regimes are definitely getting to be very popular.  Many are switching from conventional (and sometimes synthetic) products to these natural treatments.  Without a doubt, natural and organic eye wrinkle creams and other eye skin care products will be more prevalent in the years to come.
